started in 1989. He was the number one kicker for Nottingham (1,800
pts) and Leicester (4,427 pts). He also scored 240 points in 25 matches
for England between 1974 and 1984, another 88 points for the British
Lions and 782 in other representative matches.

on their 1983 tour to New Zealand. He has also coached the Irish team
following a playing career in which he was one of the most respected
forwards in the game.
